Category: Amsterdam activities - Nannies & Parents
Eand a new and beautiful sunny day to babysit! I have been the Nanny of Faas for six months now, a sweet and mischievous 2-year-old boy. Since Faas loves animals and we visit the petting zoo on Lizzy Ansinghstraat every week, I thought it would be fun to go to the goat farm in the Amsterdamse Bos today. With a bag full of diapers, nose cleaners, juice and raisins, we got on the cargo bike together. After 20 minutes of singing songs we arrived at the goat farm. Faas found it a bit exciting at first because all the goats were running around loose and Faas was a lot smaller. This despite the fact that I was standing next to it as a babysitter. We soon saw little baby goats inside, so he could get used to it. With a bottle, Faas was allowed to give the goats milk himself, which of course was the end! After all the goats had had enough to drink, we went to the playground. All the impressions and playing had made us hungry too. We ate pancakes and then went home. Once he got home, it was time for Faas to take an afternoon nap. While Faas was sleeping, I had time to cook for the evening and clean up a bit, because that is also part of being a babysitter. In the afternoon we made castles with duplos and had a bath before mom and dad came home. It was another fun day!

Every Friday afternoon I guide Robine with her homework. She is in group six at the Montessori school in Amsterdam, where she works a lot individually and in small groups. Robine is very eager to learn and would like to practice some extra at home so that she can keep up more easily at school. During homework guidance
