At Amsternannies, personal attention for families and Nannies comes first.
Our personal service makes Amsternannies unique among babysitting agencies. Do you need a Nanny? With one message we ensure that a good match is ready, so you don't have to make a selection yourself and wait for responses from the Nannies. Our account managers ensure that a Nanny is ready, even at the last minute, so that the planning is completely taken off your hands.
How it works
We schedule an (online) intake interview with each family, during which we would like to hear everything about your family. This way we can create an extensive family profile.
After the intake interview, we will look for the perfect match for you. If her profile appeals to you, we will schedule an introduction.
When both parties are enthusiastic, the Nanny can get to work.
We have regular contact with both the family and the Nanny, so that we continue to monitor whether everything is as desired.
We are available (almost) 24/7 for additional babysitting requests. We will arrange a replacement if a Nanny is ill or if you need a Nanny at the last minute. We ensure that there is a nice Nanny at all times.

We think it is very important that you close the door behind you with a good feeling and know that the children have a good time with the Nanny. Personal contact with both the families and the Nannies is not only our starting point when making the match, this is an important part during the entire period at Amsternannies. As an Amsternanny you can babysit for a fixed (midday) day per week or on a more flexible basis.
If you are still studying, it is sometimes more difficult to commit to a family for a longer period of time. We therefore also make a distinction between Nannies and Premium Nannies. In both cases, you have a lot of experience with babysitting and you really enjoy it. You are enterprising, proactive, flexible and also enjoy helping out around the house.

Our story
We, Evelien Hunink and Dorine van Lith, set up our babysitting agency Amsternannies in 2014 because we are both convinced of the benefits of childcare at home. After more than 10 years of babysitting experience, setting up a babysitting agency was a logical choice for us at the time. Amsternannies is a young and fast-growing babysitting agency, with a large, reliable network of Nannies. “The combination of our areas of expertise (business administration & orthopedagogics), our experience and our network makes Amsternannies the babysitting agency of Amsterdam.” We are now mothers ourselves, Evelien of Hugo ('18), Emilie ('21) and Bella ('24) and Dorine of Julian ('19), Cato ('21) and Feline ('25)
As a Nanny they didn't shy away from a baby twin, a toddler and the household at the same time, but as a mother with three children, you are short of hands and time. So we are so grateful for all those fantastic Nannies who manage to do it every day!

FAQ for parents
Every Monday and Tuesday you take a fixed babysitting service. We make sure that there is always a Nanny on these days, we strive for as much continuity as possible. For this FIXED Subscription the costs are €14.95 x the number of Mondays and Tuesdays in that month. If the month has 4 Mondays and 4 Tuesdays then this is 8 x €14.95 = €119.60 for this month.

Every Wednesday you take a fixed babysitting service. We make sure that there is always a Nanny on this day; we strive for as much continuity as possible. For this FIXED subscription the costs are €14.95 x the number of Wednesdays in the month. If the month has 4 Wednesdays then it is 4x €14.95 for this month = €59.80.
The VAST subscription is continuous, if the fixed day is not needed or you do not want a replacement, this will be converted into a credit. This credit can be used for an additional application for another two months.

The FLEX subscription is for families who want to employ a Nanny occasionally, for example one day and/or one evening per month. With this subscription you can make unlimited requests at any time of the day.
Per month, €15.95 is billed for subscription costs. One babysitting service can be purchased and for each additional babysitting service the agency costs are €15.95.
If no babysitting service is purchased, the costs of €15.95 will continue and this babysitting service cannot be carried over to the following month.
Yes, this is possible.
If the request for a babysitting service is made less than 48 hours in advance, or on Friday after 12:00 for the weekend or the following Monday, the last minute rate applies. The mediation costs to Amsternannies are €19.95 per service if you have a FIXED subscription. If you have a FLEX subscription, the mediation costs are €24.95.
FAQ for Nannies
If you have experience working in childcare/a lot of babysitting experience, you can also email us. However, we do apply a minimum age of 16 years. Following a telephone conversation and your CV, we will let you know whether you can come for an interview.
The Nanny Academy was developed by a Pedagogue and Orthopedagogue and is offered by us with great pleasure. We also expect a certain commitment and responsibility from the Nannies who register for this. That is why a minimum contribution is requested, lunch and coffee are also offered during the course.
After the Academy you can work as a Premium Nanny and earn a higher hourly wage of €15.00-€17.50.
