VLinder crafting with toilet rolls

What do you need?

  • Toilet rolls
  • Colorful construction paper
  • Pair of scissors
  • Glue and/or stapling pliers
  • Big eyes
  • Decoration (pipe cleaners and other decorations of your choice)

How do you make the butterfly?

  1. Cut the colored construction paper to size and glue it around the toilet rolls.
  2. Cut out the wings for the butterfly from the colored construction paper. You can choose a template that you draw or print in advance, which can help you cut neatly.
  3. Then use glue or a staple to attach the wings to the back of the toilet roll.
  4. Bend pipe cleaners into the shape of the butterfly feelers and attach them to the roll with glue or a staple.
  5. To make the butterfly even more fun, you can stick funny googly eyes on it and draw a mouth on it.
  6. Finally, your child can decorate the butterfly with colorful decorations or draw the decorations themselves with markers.
